.at Domains (Austria)

.at Domains are managed by nic.at located in Salzburg. (www.nic.at)

The exact release date for deleted .at domains is not announced beforehand.

Domains are however not released immediately after deletion from their registry, but are in a several weeks „cool down“ period. Domains in this state can be ordered through realtime.at.

Everyone (person, organisation, company), independent of his residence, can be owner of an .at domain.

If you want to transfer your domain to another provider (REG-TRANSFER), the new registrar has to initiate this. You will need no form/verification from the former registrar / us whatsoever.

nic.at sends an e-mail to the owners e-mail address with an individual link leading to a nic.at confirmation-page. There you have the choice to accept or reject the REG-TRANSFER.

If you need to initiate an ownerchange, only the current registrar can do this, or the new registrar directly in the course of a REG-TRANSFER.
